Welcome to SAFE Firearms Training, LLC, where we proudly stand by the belief that “The Second Amendment is For Everyone.” I’m Don Miller II, the owner and lead instructor of SFT. Since founding the company in 2016, my mission has been to empower individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to handle firearms safely and responsibly.

My journey in firearms education began with certifications from the National Rifle Association as a Certified Pistol Instructor and Personal Protection in the Home Instructor. Over the years, I’ve expanded my expertise and now serve as a Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructor, specializing in the Maryland Handgun Qualification License and Handgun Permit curriculums.

I’ve been a proud member of the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) since 2014 and earned my first USCCA certification as a Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals (CCHDF) Certified Instructor in 2017. In 2020, I achieved the designation of CCHDF Training Counselor, enabling me to guide other instructors in providing top-notch training.

My certifications through the USCCA extend across a wide range of critical topics, including:

  • Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals (Certified Instructor & Training Counselor)
  • AR-15 Fundamentals
  • Defensive Shooting Fundamentals – Level 1
  • Women’s Handgun & Self-Defense Fundamentals

Meet Sam Dutterer, Senior Firearms Instructor at SAFE Firearms Training, LLC. With a commitment to professionalism and a passion for educating others, Sam has been an integral part of the SFT team, bringing years of experience and expertise to every class.

Sam’s firearms training journey began in 2020 when he earned his first certification as a United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Certified Instructor. Since then, he has achieved an impressive range of certifications, demonstrating his dedication to providing top-tier firearms education.

Sam is a Maryland State Police Qualified Handgun Instructor, specializing in teaching the Maryland Handgun Qualification License and Handgun Permit curriculums. Additionally, he holds multiple certifications through the USCCA instructor pathway, including:
